Realizing the inevitable of the infirmity and the eventual passing of our fathers who have  been a band of brothers lo these many years, we, the sons, daughters, widows, other relatives and friends, announce the formation of "The 69th Infantry Division - Next Generation" to be a successor group to "The Fighting 69th Infantry Division Association, Inc." after it holds its final Reunion.

To be ready, we are organizing now. Our objectives will be the same as expounded by the 69th's late commanding officer, Major General E. F. Reinhardt, when he formed the Association in 1948 and which were incorporated in its By-Laws.  The only exception is membership will be eligible to one and all.

The first order of business has been to form our group. 69ers, widows, sons, daughters, grandchildren, other relatives and friends, all are needed now to support the group. We are please to announce that we formally approved and ratified at the 64th Reunion in Pittsburgh, PA. on Sep. 17, 2011.
